For Vita, by Fobou
An interpretation of your world.
An example, not a finished product. A first read of everything you are building, turned into one idea. Scroll slowly.
01 Your world
We started with you.
We gathered what makes you, you, and what The Core stands for. Then we held onto three things.
and we held onto three things
- 01
A point of view of its own
Most shorts are made to be looked at. This one is made to help the work. It is built to help you feel and switch on the muscles you are training, so your focus lands where the effort is. That is the reason it exists.
- 02
It solves something real
Not another short that already exists. It answers something the big names have skipped.
- 03
It feels like The Core
Made to help you feel good during the workout, not just look good after. Mind, body and soul, in one piece.
02 The brief
One brief to design from.
Everything above meets here, in a single brief. A few pieces of it:
- The idea
- A training short you feel as much as wear. Built for the practice, not the mirror.
- The material
- A performance knit that moves with you, finished to feel warm and considered, never plasticky.
- The feel
- Supportive where you need it, quiet everywhere else. Judged by how the workout feels.
- The signature
- The waistband is where the design lives. What it does for your body, shown openly. The rest stays simple.
- The tones
- Warm and calm. Nothing loud.
03 Concepts
From here, it branches.
One brief, many directions. Here are a few we explored.
The Anchor
Baseline, resolved
The anchor. Fine tonal stitching on the band, a clean simple leg below. Warm black.
The Line
Seam travel
A single support seam travels down the outer thigh, structural and editorial. Soft stone.
The Touch
Channel stitch
Fine channels give the band a soft ribbed surface you feel as much as see. Warm sand.
A few of many. We followed the ones that felt most like you.
04 Designs
Then we go deeper into one.
We took The Anchor further, into two designs. The same idea, refined in two ways.
The Purist
Four-line topstitch, bound edge
The purest take on the baseline, calm and resolved. Fresh sage green.
The Marks
Bartack grid, tipped edge
The same idea told through small precise marks. Warm black.
Two of many. This is the part we would shape with you.
This is where we stopped, for now.
The rest keeps going.
What you just saw is a small part of how we work, built from the outside in, before we have even spoken properly. The real version is built with you: your taste, your body, your training, your eye.
